I've had it since launch day, and imo Gamespy's review is absolutely spot on. The game is crippled by an over aggressive AI that quickly wages war on you, and determines how you get to play the rest of the game. Which basically boils down to one of two choices: either 'turtling up', and hoping to get ahead on tech/culture/money, or going on the offensive, and taking the fight to the AI.

Either way you'll often find yourself frustrated by the fact that you seldom have full contr...

I guess any game where the intent is to kill could be construed as being 'violent'. Take Viking: Battle For Asgard, for example. The gore factor is well and truly off the scale. However, it could still be argued that it's no more 'violent' in it's murderous intent, than many other games around at the moment.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it. Although I can understand why it's influence on youngsters could be a cause for concern.

I doubt that Ms Croxson would be at all impressed by TorrentFreak's selective plagiarism of her research. In which she also noted that.......

'A third of all products installed on personal
computers is pirated, with suggested revenue losses of $33bn for 2004.'

and....

'In the music sector, meanwhile, global annual record sales fell from
$40bn to $33bn over the four years to 2004 the same period in which illegal sharing of music files ...

It's nice to see Gladius in there. It's a fantastic game, and well deserving the accolade, imo.

".....more rounded support."

That's rich, coming from a developer that completely disowned one of its own games on the Xbox 360. Where's your 'more rounded support' for BFMEII, EA?

Game aren't stocking it because after adding their mark-up to the price, they still can't compete with the likes of Woolworths, Morrisons, or just about anyone else for that matter!

So who in their right mind would go to a Game store to buy any current title, anyway?

It's hearsay, so what's the point in putting it up for debate?

What is there to bash?

Sony are in partnership with T3, (Future Publishing) so any credibility that the magazine, (or this article) may have had in the past no longer exists!

....and that's it.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble guys, but T3 have got every reason to declare the PS3 as being the best thing since sliced bread. Future Publishing, (the company behind T3) have just entered into partnership with Sony as printer of the Official PlayStation Magazine, and developer of the Blu-ray demo discs that will be on the front cover of every issue.

So to say that T3 now has a vested interest in promoting Sony's products is something of an understatement at best! Btw...the fi...

I think Sony might be regretting dropping the price of the PS2 during the PS3's launch cycle. By doing so, Sony has not only widened the substantial price difference between the PS2 and the PS3; they've also given a great many people with broken PS2s, a much cheaper way of getting their existing game catalogues back into action again.

Plus of course, the now much cheaper PS2 is a much more attractive purchase for first-time console buyers, and especially so with the games for i...

"There is more technology in one SIXAXIS controller than there is throughout your entire console."

Really?

I'll bear that in mind the next time I'm playing Oblivion, and an unseen ranged attack scares the crap out of me when the rumble kicks in.

I told this guy yesterday that the 360 patch was out. Why do PS3 fanboys only hear what they want to hear?

Morrisons Superstore in Mansfield are doing them at £424.99.

Although at 2.pm today, (when I asked) they hadn't sold a single one of them!

I don't see the problem!

What I'm looking at is a glowing review of one, (if not THE) best games ever written for any platform. Who really gives a monkeys which is the better version?

Just buy it, enjoy it, and love it for the masterpiece that it truly is!

Sony desperately needs to reconsider its marketing strategy. Perhaps something along the lines of renaming the PS3 to the PS2.5 might help a little.

At least then they'd be being honest for the first time in living memory!

Not if there's any truth to this it won't....

Sony have stated that the removal of the chip for Europe will allow greater flexibility for newer games on the PS3 in the future, "Rather than concentrate on PS2 backwards compatibility, company resources will be increasingly focused on developing games and entertainment features exclusively for PS3 in the future, truly taking advantage of this exciting technology."

Which to my ears, sounds a lot like Sony t...

What Does Your Xbox Live Name Mean?

To me personally it means that I can no longer get on Xbox Live because of an unrecoverable corrupted gamertag. And like countless <hundreds/thousands?> of other people around the world, have not been able to since last November's update screwed up our 360's.

But I don't suppose the numbers mean too much to Microsoft at the moment because we're still relatively few in real terms. Although the story will become public soon...

I admire your optimism mate.

Although as I see it, BC's only part of the problem. It's being a test pilot for the new hardware that's the real bugbear. Personally, I think that Sony are making a really big mistake changing the hardware specs half way through the global launch cycle.

It could easily prove to be a total disaster come launch day!

Typical Sony.

When they can't use rumble they're saying it's last-gen, and playing down it's loss. Then suddenly it's back on the cards again, and they just can't live without it!

What hypocrites they are!

Umm...I'm not looking for a fight here guys, but are we expected to just take Mahmoud's word that Phil Harrison has really said all this?

Don't get me wrong; I'm not questioning the author's integrity in any way, just his journalistic skills! The absence of a link to his source for the information reduces the article to nothing more than hearsay, in my opinion.
